Quick Start Guide
Install the Cisco Jabber for Mobile App
Download the Cisco Jabber application from Google Play and install it.
Tap the install button.
Once installed, open the app.
If this is the first time opening the Cisco Jabber app, please read, then accept the "Emergency Calls" agreement.
From the Collaboration menu, swipe left to move to the next screen.
Tap Get Started to continue.
Allow or Deny Jabber to:
- Use Biometric authentication
- Access Contacts
- Record Audio
- Access Photos and Media
First time login requires you to enter your email address, i.e. username@ucar.edu. This will be saved automatically and will not be required for future logins. Tap continue.
Enter your CIT credentials. This should only be your username ("ucar.edu" should not be in this field). Tap Sign In.
Update Voicemail Credentials
Click the Settings tab.
Enter your CIT credentials.
Voicemail and phone service should now be active.
Account Window
The Account window contains: status, settings, and sign out.
Change Settings
From the Account window, click on Settings.
Tab the back arrow once you are done making changes.
Placing a Call
Click the Call icon along the bottom of your screen to display the keypad.
- You can dial any 4-digit UCAR extension directly.
- For local calls dial 7+AreaCode+number.
- For long-distance calls dial 7+1+AreaCode+number.
Accessing Voicemail
From the Keypad window, click on the voicemail icon in the lower right corner to review voicemail messages.
UCAR Directories
Click the Contacts icon along the bottom of your screen. Type user details in the "Search or call" field to access UCAR directories. Minimum of 3 characters required.
Answering Calls
- Click Answer to answer the incoming call.
- Click the Decline button to send the call to voicemail.
