You will need to unlock your account if you entered the wrong password too many times. Use the unlock feature if you know your password and your account is locked. If you have forgotten your password and would like to change it, then use the reset feature instead. Resetting your password will also unlock your account.

Unlock CIT Account

Visit the CIT Password Portal.

Select Unlock.

Enter your username and domain (cit.ucar.edu).

Answer the three security questions you set during the enrollment process.

You will then receive a code in your email. Copy the code from the email and enter it into password portal.

Select Next and complete any remaining prompts to finish changing your password.

You need to be enrolled in the CIT Password Portal's system to use the Unlock or Reset Password feature. If you have not been enrolled and set up your personal security questions, contact the support desk to help you regain access to your account.
