What's New?

Starting on March 1st, 2025, you will notice a small change to Duo when logging into UCAR systems. 

After entering your password, you will see an additional pop-up asking you to select Cisco Duo for authentication.

After selecting Approve with Cisco Duo, you will be redirected to the usual Duo Mobile push page and will receive a push notification on your phone.




Adding or Removing Devices

Follow the steps above until you reach the Duo Prompt

Select Other Options

Select Manage Devices at the bottom of the list

Select an authentication method from the list and sign in

From here you can manage any devices

To delete a device click Edit on the desired device and Delete

To replace a device click I have a new phone and follow the prompts

To add a device click Add a device



Changing the Default Notification

Please note that the default method cannot be set to telephony methods such as SMS text or a phone call.


To change the default method, sign into a UCAR web and follow the prompts as shown above.

Once at the Check for Duo Push page, select Other Options

The options you see will be different base on what you have available to you.

Select the option you would like to be the default (Remember Text message and Phone Call will not save as default)


Approve the selected method

Duo will automatically set that as your new default notification type.
