Enterprise IT provides a general use instance of Jira Software for software development and project management use across the organization at jira.ucar.edu.




Jira Cloud

UCAR does not support or provision access to Jira Cloud instances.   UCAR users are not currently authorized to deploy their own instances of Jira Cloud tied to their ucar.edu account.

The ability to login to Jira Cloud instances managed by other organizations requires an Atlassian ID, which is provisioned by Enterprise IT.  To request an Atlassian ID account, please submit a ticket via the NCAR/UCAR Service Desk.  This request will require supervisory approval.




jira.ucar.edu FAQs

Access management on individual Jira projects is delegated to the project administrator.  Please request access from the administrators for the project.  If you do not know who the project administrators are, please submit a ticket via https://help.ucar.edu and they will be identified for you.  The Jira Administrators will not provide space access except for cases where the project administrators are unable to do so.

To request a Jira project, please submit a ticket via https://help.ucar.edu.  

You will need to provide a project name and an unique alphanumeric key for the project, as well as if you want a software development project or a project management project.  The Jira Administrators will ask for additional requirements as the project creation progresses.
